Josephine Jenner Obituary

Josephine E. Jenner, 76 of Prospect, died Thursday, January 2, 2025 at the Marion General Hospital. She was born October 11, 1948 in Lawrence County to the late Joe and Mildred Ward. Jo was a custodian for Elgin South Elementary School in Prospect for 29 years and was affectionately known as "Miss Jo" by the students. She is survived by her husband, Terry Jenner, whom she married on March 26, 1966; two sons, Brian Allen (Dawn) Jenner, Caledonia; David Lee Jenner, Prospect; a daughter, Lela (William) Sparling, Greenville, South Carolina; and many others who thought of her as a mom; ten grandchildren, Kyle, Logan, Amanda, Gabby, Kiana, Amber, Alec, Cory, Collin, Gavin; numerous great-grandchildren; and a sister, Brenda Bridges, Marion. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Prospect with Pastor David Carlyle officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society (), P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
