Charles Cline Obituary

Charles R. Cline

MARION: Charles R. Cline, born September 7, 1929, embarked on an eternal fishing trip Saturday, January 3, 2015. The only child of Clarence and Lucile Blair-Cline, he was the husband of Nancy Catherine Maffett-Cline; father of Terry Starr Cline and the late William "Bill" Charles Cline; and grandfather of Holly Catherine Cline-DeHaven.

A 1947 graduate of Harding High School, Charles was a former Tool/Die Process Engineer for the Whirlpool Corp. He was an avid fisherman, member of the Rock & River Fishing Club of Marion, and an ardent fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes.

A memorial fish fry and celebration of Charles' life will be held in the spring, date to be announced, with the last of his "catch of the day" to be shared among relatives and friends.

His final request was that his body be donated to the Anatomy Department of the Ohio State University.
