George William Schultz

LAND O'LAKES, FL: George William Schultz, 93, of Land O'Lakes, FL, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015. He was born in Scranton, PA, and moved to the New York City area as a child.

He was in the United States Air Force from 1942-1946. He graduated from University of Southern California with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, and embarked on a successful 40 year career in management for General Electric in Schenectady, NY, and Cleveland, OH. A second career with Dresser Industries/Marion Power Shovel for 10 years. He retired to the New Port Richey, FL area in 1982 with his new bride Loretta M. Westfall Schultz, and they re-located to Tampa 30 years later and recently to Land O Lakes, FL.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Schultz; and his son, Joseph Schultz; parents, Charles Joseph Schultz and Julia Novak Schultz; brothers, Carl Schultz, Ernest Schultz, John "Jack" Schultz, and Joseph Schultz; sisters, Christine Schultz, Madeline Ribarsh, Juliette Habermann and Adelaide Setty.

He is survived by his loving wife, Loretta; sister, Marie McGrath from Comack, New York; son, Chuck Schultz; daughter, Kathryn Schultz Tilley; when George married Loretta in 1982 he was blessed with additional daughters, Bonnie Westfall, Sheri Westfall from Dallas, Texas, and Robin Mathys from Marion, Ohio; his grandchildren, Nathan Schultz from Oregon, Benjamin Schultz from Hawaii, Jason Mathys and Brian Mathys, and great granddaughter Ava Mathys from Marion, Ohio. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2015, at Connerton Court, 21021 Betel Palm Lane (at Roaches Run), Land O Lakes, FL.
