Opal Gamble Obituary
MARION: Opal Irene Gamble, age 57, of Marion, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday evening, January 6, 2015.
Opal was born in Hazard, Kentucky on March 27, 1957, the daughter of David and Verse (Mosley) Smith. Opal graduated from the Hazard High School. Later on, she attended beauty school in Marion and worked as a beautician in the community.
On April 18, 1987, Opal was united in marriage to Mark B. Gamble in Marion.
Opal loved the outdoors. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers and fishing. She had a heart of gold and loved spending priceless time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Mark B. Gamble; her children, Crystal (Christian) Quinones and Jill (John) Bailey; grandchildren, Jonathan and Sierra Bailey and Kacey Kline; siblings, Chester (Joyce) Smith, Pauline (Steve) Felkner, Edith (Irvin) Mullins, Freddie Smith and Harold Smith.
She is preceded in death by her parents and 12 siblings.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Home, 347 West Center St., Marion from 3PM to 5PM; Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Monday at 1PM; Burial will be in the Grand Prairie Cemetery.
If so desired, donations may be made to the Marion General Hospital Hospice.
