Robert Aten Obituary
MARION: Robert C. Aten, age 76, of Marion, passed away on Sunday morning, July 13, 2014 at his residence.
Robert was born on September 17, 1937 in Nevada, OH, the son of the late Eugene E. and Ethel M. (Billiard) Aten. He graduated from the Nevada High School. He spent his career working at Whirlpool, where he retired.
On November 26, 1962, Robert was united in marriage to Janet L. Hill, she preceded him in death. In 2006, Robert was united in marriage to Sandra K. Cothern in Marion.
Robert is survived by his wife, Sandra K. Aten; his son, Warren E. Aten; step children: Richard, Gabriel and Mathew Woods; grandchildren: Michael and Samantha Aten; step grandchildren: Desity, Jocelyn and Thomas Woods; and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home from 4PM to 7PM; Funeral services will be held on Thursday at the funeral home at 1PM with burial in Caledonia Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

I met Bob when we both started first grade at Nevada Elementary School. Our friendship continued through graduation and beyond. There are good memories in those years and I was sorry to learn today of his death. He was a good soul.
