MARION: Ruth G. Dutt, age 86 of Marion, OH, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014 at her daughter's residence in Richwood, OH.

She was born May 14, 1928 in West Union, OH to the late Ray Staggs and Esta (Slack) Staggs. On October 7, 1971 in Marion, she married Donald R. Dutt who survives.

She was a member of the Kensington Church of the Nazarene. Ruth was retired as the store manager with Nickles Bakery for 20 years. She retired in 1990. Ruth loved to travel. In her earlier days, she and Don did lots of camping. She truly loved family get-togethers.

Besides her husband, Ruth is survived by three daughters, Jacqualine (Rick) Holycross of Morral, OH, Luann (Ralph Frazier) Thomas of Richwood, OH, and Jill (Derek) Drew of Washington, D.C.; two sons, Richard J. Thomas of Richwood, OH and John R. Dutt of St. Cloud, FL.; also surviving are nine grandchildren, Holly (Steve), Zachary, Brittney (Cody), Jason, Matt (Celeste), Brooke (Eric), Pam (Rich), Donna, and Seth; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Howard Staggs of West Union, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by a brother, Ross Staggs.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 11 AM at the Kensington Church of the Nazarene located at 369 Kensington, PL in Marion, OH. Officiating the service will be Pastor Ron Takala. Burial will follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 4-7 PM and Wednesday one hour prior to the service from 10-11 AM at the church.
