Marion Gamble Obituary
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Adams Funeral Home with Reverend John Armstrong officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at the funeral home.
Marion was born on April 14, 1935, in Cashford, Ala., to Rufus Jackson and Manda June Gamble. He graduated from Accredited High School in Columbia, Ala. Marion served nine years in the United States Army as a Military Policeman and 23 years in the Federal Bureau of Prison. Following retirement, He started his own lawn service until 2017. He loved playing skip bo and working in his yard and also doing lawns for other people in the community.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and son, Marion Byrd Gamble Jr.
Survivors include a special friend and caretaker, Helen Coble and Sharon Childre; daughters, Rhonda Whitman, and Linda Martin; three grandsons and one granddaughter.
Pallbearers: Cannon Wills, Cameron Wills, Chad Hogg, Coltin Hogg, Justin Childre, and Collin Childre.
Services are under the directions of Adams Funeral Home
