KAY LABOUBE Obituary

KAY LABOUBE Kay Laboube, 81, of rural Slater, MO, died Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Lee's Summit Medical Center. The family will hold a Celebration of Life Service at a later date. Memorials are suggested to family choice, in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home, and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com Born February 6, 1943, in Nelson, MO, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred Silas Shelton and Geraldine Walk Shelton. Kay lived in the rural Nelson and Blackwater areas most of her life and was a graduate of Nelson High School. In addition to being a homemaker for her family, she had worked as a waitress and clerk. Kay's greatest joy was found in her family and she enjoyed spending time with them all. Survivors include two sons, Brian Laboube of rural Slater and Gary Laboube of Sedalia; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven siblings: Dean Shelton of Longwood, William Shelton of Edgerton, KS, Barbara McCue of Boonville, Linda Roth of Springfield, Gayle Edwards of Boonville, Bill Shelton of Boonville and Jim Shelton of Boonville; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
