WILLIAM LAMKIN Obituary

WILLIAM LAMKIN William Meredith Lamkin, 98, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2025, in Rogers. He was born November 14, 1926, in Marshall, Missouri, to the late John Clayton Lamkin, Junior and Mary Ellis Coleman Lamkin. Bill received his Bachelor of Science from Missouri Valley College in Marshall. After receiving a Doctorate of Philosophy from The University of Missouri at Columbia, he joined the research staff in the department of biochemistry at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Hospital and Tumor Research Institute in Houston, Texas. It was at M.D. Anderson that Bill met Aurelie France. They were married February 21, 1970, in Metairie, Louisiana. After retiring from The U.S. Grain Marketing Research Center in Manhattan, Kansas, Bill and Aurelie moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife, Aurelie; nieces, Lynn Lamkin (Tom) Sullivan of Troy, Missouri and Jayne Lamkin (Rob) Appling of Alpharetta, Georgia; grandnieces, grandnephews and great grandnieces. Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Benton County Memorial Park & Funeral Home.
