Roy Rickstrew Obituary

Roy Lee Rickstrew, Strafford, son of Emerson and Francis (Reed) Rickstrew, was born August 12, 1950, in California. He departed this life on February 26, 2023, in his home at the age of 72.

Roy had worked as a welder. He had served as a Navy Seabee.

Roy enjoyed old cars, searching for arrowheads, hunting, and fishing. He had built the rock house he lived in, digging the foundation by hand.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Roy is survived by his wife, Eva (Bylieu) Rickstrew; his son, Roy Rickstrew and wife Sheree, Springfield; his siblings, Emerson Rickstrew, Colleyville, TX, Ralph Rickstrew, Amarillo, TX, and Elizabeth Barrett, Swan Saga, IL; two grandchildren, Patrick Ayres and Ashlee Ayres; and one great-grandchild, Metias Ayres.

Graveside services for Roy Rickstrew were at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 2, 2023, in Welch Cemetery, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.

For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors and left in care of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., P.O. Box 85, Marshfield, MO, 65706.
