Carol Fredrick Obituary

Carol Fredrick

Hewitt - Carol Ann Fredrick, age 71, of Marshfield, passed away early Saturday, December 23, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital Marshfield, WI after a brief battle with cancer. A funeral will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hewitt, WI. Visitation will be held at Hansen-Shilling Funeral Home in Marshfield from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 and again one hour prior to service on Wednesday at 10AM. Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Hewitt.

Carol was born February 21, 1946, the daughter of Ole and Agnes (Larson) Snortheim in Marshfield, WI. She graduated from Marshfield High School in 1964. On October 16, 1965 Carol was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart Robert Fredrick at Immanuel Lutheran in Hewitt, WI.

She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hewitt and served the Lord as a Sunday School teacher, member of the Ladies Aid, Evening Guild, and Choir. She and her husband own and operated Evergreen Manufacturing in Hewitt for the past 30 years.

In her spare time she enjoyed cooking and crafts, which she loved to share with others. She especially enjoyed being a grandmother. She looked forward to attending her grandchildren's school, sporting and 4-H events. Those that knew Carol would agree that she was proud of her Norwegian heritage, and her family will carry on many of those traditions. She will be greatly missed at the annual family fishing vacation in Hayward each summer.

Carol is lovingly survived by her Husband, Robert; children: Connie (Tim) Rhodes of Hewitt, Carla MacArthur of Spencer, and Bruce (Jennifer) Fredrick of Marshfield; grandchildren: Stuart and Stephanie Rhodes, Cierra MacArthur, and Evelyn Fredrick; brothers: Norman (Linda) Snortheim of Marshfield, Harold (Sheryl) Snortheim of Altoona, and Robert (Gail) Snortheim of Marshfield. She will truly be missed by many friends and family members.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents: Ole and Agnes; as well as a son-in-law, David MacArthur. The family greatly appreciates the love and support of our church family and friends. A memorial will be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hewitt at a later date.

May the love and support of family and friends give you strength to cope with your loss of Carol Fredrick. And may the comforting promise found at 2 Thessalonians 3: 16 be of comfort. That "the Lord of peace himself give you peaces constantly in every way. May the Lord be with all of you."

Robert, Connie/Tim and all family: I am saddened by Carol's passing, yet I have so many happy memories from school days of Carol. She always sat ahead of me in any class we happened to share. Truly a classmate that always had a smile, shared help, and exemplified "a heart to greater loyalty, and hands to larger service" (4-H). Sincere condolences to all. Robert A.
