Carol Ann Lydon
On November 5, 2021 Carol Ann Lydon the daughter of James M. & Jean D. Lydon passed quietly at home in Palmer MA from pancreatic cancer in the company of her extended loving family. She leaves her devoted friend/husband Richard L. Cook & his daughters Molly M. & Chelsea E., her children Andrea J. Trudeau of Rehobooth , Joseph Henry (“Hank”) & James Howard (“Buzzy”) Wagner of Amherst MA., Her Brothers Richard, Jay, Joseph and John Lydon and sister Ellen Olivera , 8 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and friends. Her early years were spent in Belmont, Wayland, and Amherst as “MOM” and at midlife returned to UMASS Amherst to achieve her BS in Civil Engineering and site design eventually retiring from Mott Macdonald. She loved her grandchildren, the ocean, boating reading gardening, was a life long red sox fan. She also was very proud of her award winning cookies the best ever! She had a non-confrontational manner, was quietly unassuming with impeccable precise timing which made her a soul entrusting friend along with her readily sense of humor. She will be missed! There will be a celebration of life in the spring of 2022.

Carol, I'm going to miss you, my friend. Loved our text messages and our phone calls. You were loved by many. RIP, Carol. Rest easy. Until we meet up again, know I'll be thinking about you - A LOT! Soar high with the angels. To Carol's husband, Rich, I am so terribly sorry for your loss. She was the absolute best. I loved her, as did many others. She was so easy to be friends with. To Carol's family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless you.
