Elaine Picone Garvey

1958 - 2022

Elaine Picone Garvey, 64, entered into her eternal rest on May 16th at the Southbridge Rehabilitation Center in Southbridge. She was born in Boston on February 20th 1958 to the late Samuel and Helen Picone. She was educated locally, attending Classical High School, STCC and later graduating from Our Lady of the Elms with honors. Elaine is survived by her husband Maurice “Chappy” Garvey ; as well as her sisters Susan Picone of Monson, and Kathleen Picone of Palmer. Family and friends are invited to gather at Sampson’s Chapel of the Acres, 21 Tinkham Rd Springfield on Friday the 20th from 10-11am for a period of visitation, a funeral home service will follow at 11am. Elaine will then be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In honor of her love of animals, memorial contributions in her name are directed to Yankee Golden Retrevier Rescue: 110 Chapin Rd, Hudson, MA 01749.
