I'm sorry to recently learn of Franks passing. He was a friend and teaching colleague and I was a former journalism student of his years ago. I'm saddened by this. He was always interesting to talk with. RIP Frank.

So sorry for your loss. Frank was an amazing professor and friend, and it was so great to continue to enjoy his humor through his frequent Facebook posts. I’m so saddened to hear of his passing. Now if only I could think of the quip he would make about this!

Sincerest condolences to Frank's family.

Our friendship endured through the beers at Donovan's Irish Pub in Springfield, across the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
I especially enjoyed our banter through the pages of Face Book , private messages and emails.
Frank was a good and decent man and a friend to so many.

While, I was hopitalized last November, Frank would send me messages with advice and urging me to fight the Corona Virus. He was a friend's friend.

Had intro to journalism with Frank at UMASS in 1978. Will never forget his wicked sense of humor (particularly with Art Clifford), or his unique but very effective teaching style. R.I.P. noble professor.

A life well lived. Across the continents, searching for news stories and his perfect climate, he had many adventures, made many friends, and was the most interesting Faulkner of all.

To his family and friends, an Irish saying:
Always remember to forget the things that made you sad.
But never forget to remember the things that made you glad

My heart goes out to Mins and to Sean, who is eight years old. Mins, who nursed Frank through his declining health, is working with a funeral home on Bohol on final arrangements.
