Linda Schoonover Obituary

Linda Kay Schoonover passed away peacefully Wednesday May 11,2022. A long time resident of Bondsville, Linda’s ashes will be returned to the farm land In Brimfield where she was raised. Survived by two wild Indians her sons Peter M Schoonover of Bondsville and Robert J. Schoonover and his longtime fiancé Wendy Martin, of Gaffney SC.
Linda raised her 2 sons as a young divorced mother while working a full time job and putting herself through college; where she earned an Associates at STCC ,Springfield.Linda was instrumental in returning the handicap from the state hospitals to the community settings where she worked as a program coordinator for as many as 8 homes on a regular basis. Linda was active in her Jehovah witness faith; and truly loved her last years as a resident of the Woodsley Rd. group home in Wilbraham. In lieu of flowers and donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 . Forastiere Funeral & Cremation, Springfield is entrusted with final arrangements. www.forastierefuneralhome
