Richard P. Krowchenko, 57, of Westfield and formerly of Indian Orchard, died July 24, 2023 at Vantage of Wilbraham. Born in Springfield on April 29, 1966, he was the son of the late Arthur J. and Sophie V. (Rajca) Krowchenko.
Richard was a 1984 graduate of Cathedral High School, a 1988 graduate of
S.T.C.C and a graduate of Western New England College where he received his degree in accounting in 1990. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Indian Orchard and an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
He is survived by a brother, Henry Krowchenko and his wife Leslie of Wallingford, PA, a sister, Frances Lussier of Westfield, one nephew, Sam Krowchenko, two nieces, Kelly & Jennifer Lussier and two great-nephews, Noah Lussier and Beckham Osman.
Funeral Services for Richard will be held on Friday, August 11 with Calling Hours from 9am – 11am at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield. A Prayer Service will follow at the funeral home at 11am, with committal services at St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard. Richard's mom was my secretary for Citizens Against Pollution, Inc., which I had formed to protect the air quality in Indian Orchard and beyond. He was always available to help. My sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this difficult time. Rest in peace, Richard.
