Chicopee
Scott Haworth died Oct. 12, 2013 in the high peaks of the Adirondacks, Keene Valley, New York. Born in Westfield, Scott was the cherished son of Warren and Ria Haworth. Much beloved brother of Nicole Meyer, Chicopee, Lynn M. Quinn, Harwinton, CT., Daniel Haworth, Ware. He worked as a postal employee at the Bulk Mail Center. His love for family and friends was endless, a free spirit and an artist. His love and knowledge of nature and the mountains spanned many years. Scott was also a talented drummer, who in various bands, entertained many for decades. He will be sorely missed. Burial and memorial will be private.

We miss you Scott, still so hard without you. We cherished the time we had with you. Listening to you play and hearing about your hikes. You are missed by everyone. May you be at peace. Still feel your presence when I see a beautiful mountain top or one of your favorite songs.

I've taken several trips through upstate NY this year, and I've thought of you often. I wish you were still around. There are so many projects I'd like to share with you and so many conversations I wish we could have. But I'm glad you're still so vivid in my memories.

Another year has passed with you still fresh in my memory. I wish I could hear your comments about the current political season. You would have had a field day with it, and that would have filled me with laughter in an otherwise tense and dark year, and make it all a bit lighter.

I was driving through the beautiful hills of Connecticut today. The weather was perfect. Typical New England September late summer..leave just barely starting to change on the trees. I remember you loved this time of year..like me. Perfect hiking weather. Clear skies...and no bugs..LOL. I miss you my brother. I hope you are loving wherever you were supposed to go next on your infinite journey. I'm doing my best with the time i have left here. Miss you a lot. Dan

It doesn't seem possible that six years have passed already, but still not a day goes by that I don't think of you. I'd love to share with you the insanity of work, the new compositions and I'd love to hear your reactions to the current political climate. Imagining what you would say can still make me smile, and in a small way that's comforting.

I was good friends with Scott over 30 years ago. I remember Scott as a true and loyal person. He was always there for a friend. I remember his passion for music and the many times that the band would practice till all hours.
Regrettably we lost touch.
I was telling a friend today about the great times I had as a kid and the kind of true friends I had. I don't think many people can say they have friends now like they did when they were young. I decided to look Scott us on my tablet and found this site.

I'm so sorry to hear about Scott.

My sincere condolences go out to his family and friends.

He was a true individual. An entertainer who inspired, a true artist. He hiked the highest mountain peaks, a true adventurer. He would do anything for anybody, a true friend.

I am fortunate to have had the privilege to call you my brother.

I will keep you close to my
heart always, your sister.

We knew Scott a short time through the band Rock 201. We truly admired his talent in drumming as well as his back up singing.

We are so very sorry for the loss of this talented man. May you rest in peace and one day we all shall meet again.

I "only" knew Scott in one very particular relationship: bandmate. In some ways, this sort of association is as intimate as any between humans, so I can claim to have known the man very well. He was a marvelous person. Very considerate. Effortlessly spiritual. Talented. And ethical. In a world sorely short of such persons, that made Scott a real leader.

Scott was a phenomenal drummer. He loved all styles of music, from Frank Zappa to Bob Dylan, and he could play in any style -- and do it well. He played in numerous area bands, including Hair Volume, The Dots and Dingo Roi. He also played for local folk singer Tom Neilson on his Dancing Shoes album.
