Therese "Terry" F. (LaBranche) McGuigan, 68, of West Springfield, passed away on Sunday August 6, 2023. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts on April 12, 1955, the daughter of the late Philip and Rita (Clarke) LaBranche. Therese attended local schools and was a 1973 graduate of Classical High School. She went on to obtain her associate degree from Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) in 1975. Her father Philip was the first Chief of Campus Security for many years at STCC and Therese later went on to work for 42 years for the college, retiring from the Information Technology department in 2017. She enjoyed crafting, reading and playing cards; however, her greatest joy was spending time with her family and her grand dogs. She is survived by her son, Patrick A. McGuigan and his wife Kimberly of Granby, CT, her sister Patricia Teres of Arizona, brother Mark LaBranche, and her loving nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Philip LaBranche Jr. Services for Therese will be private and at the convenience of the family.
