Valerie J. Cave, 39, of Ludlow, passed away on Tuesday, June 20 2023. Born in Springfield on July 24, 1983, Valerie was a graduate of Ludlow High School and STCC. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for a local medical office. Val will be remembered for her love of cats and dogs, being a amazing aunty and for being a dedicated and loving mother to Jayden.
Val is survived by her son Jayden Borrero (Aleena); parents Edward Cave (Andra) and Colleen Cote (Remi); her brothers Daniel Cave (Vanessa); Eric Cave (Jennifer) and her sister Hillary Morrissette (Jesse). She also leaves her beloved nieces and nephews Devin, Ryan, Logan, Alexis, Alanna, Athena, Maya, Jack and Ava, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Visiting hours for Val will be Monday, June 26, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA. Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family. To honor Val's love of animals donations in her memory may be made to Dakin Humane Society, P.O. Box 6307, Springfield, MA 01101 or www.dakinhumane.org. WOW this is so crazy. I haven't seen y'all for yrs. We all get caught up with our day-to-day but your family has always been tight with my Aunt Robin. Val was a little older then me. So I mostly heard about goings on and shenanigans from my older brother Josh Nichols. I got to know Hillary abit hangin out with Carly & Lauren. You guys were always just down the street. The families would bump into each other around the Fiesta or fireworks or whatever and it was sure to be a good spirited time.
Last wk word had spread and I heard about Val's passing. I'm so sorry for everyone that loved or cared about her. I'll be keeping you guys in my thoughts and prayers.

This was really sad news to hear. My heart goes out to your family and my prayers are with you all. Val was fun to hangout with, looked out for others, and was always so kind to me. We were getting to know each other and off the bat she was making sure I was safe as we usually saw each other at the bar years ago. I loved when I would go out and hangout with her when we would run into each other. There were a lot of fun nights with Val and you Eric. I will always remember her authenticity and kindness. She had a fun spirit and I'm grateful she was a positive part of a time in my life where I was still finding my way through hardship. It was a time when I needed positivity. She was a source of that. We didn't keep in touch a lot as life gets in the way and people go on various paths. But those memories were never tarnished and I will always look back on them fondly. So thank you Val for that and my prayers are with your family and loved ones.
