Larry Calhoun Obituary
Larry Edward Calhoun, 79, of Mayfield, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2025, at the Baptist Health Paducah.
He was an Army veteran and a member of the Pleasant Grove Community Church. He was also a retired salesman from Gilliam Thompson Furniture and formerly worked for Youngblood's Furniture.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carol Carlisle Calhoun; one sister, Brenda Calhoun Price of Pryorsburg; also survived by a close family friend, Carol Carter of Fairhope, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Katie Wyatt Calhoun.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec 27, 2025, at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield. The Rev. Richard Dowdy will officiate. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post No. 26.
Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025, at the funeral home. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post No. 26.
