Roy Elgin Jetton, of Greencastle, Indiana, passed away on Dec. 27, 2025, at Skilled Nursing at Towne Park Senior Living in Brazil, Indiana.
Roy was born in Sedalia, Kentucky, on Sept. 1, 1931, the son of Roy Elton and Gladys Beauton (Hendon) Jetton, and was a graduate of Sedalia High School. Mr. Jetton served proudly in the United States Army in Korea. He worked for many years with Ingersoll Rand in Mayfield, Kentucky, and was a member of First Baptist Church in both Mayfield and Greencastle. Roy also served as a Deacon in both congregations. He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Hazel A. Jetton; his daughter, Caroline Jetton (husband David); a sister, Ruth Baker; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John W. Jetton; and a sister, Elaine Jetton.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, W. South Street, Mayfield, KY 42066; or Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011. The family will plan a memorial service in Kentucky with a graveside service in Highland Park Cemetery, including military honors, to be held at a later date.
