MAYSVILLE — Roy Dale Vaughn, Sr., 67, of Maysville, passed away Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, at the Hospice of Hope Care Center.
Mr. Vaughn retired from Toyo Seat after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Faith Assembly of God, a draftsmen, woodworker and loved to metal detect. Roy was a veteran of the US Army having served his country during the Vietnam War.
He was born in Maysville, on Oct. 31, 1954, the son of the late Roy Kimble Vaughn and Maudie Marie Conley Vaughn.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Cook Vaughn; his three children, Roy Dale Vaughn, Jr. (Bonnie) and Brittany Lynn Harding (Michael) both of Maysville, and Margret Rice (Brad) of Lexington; his two grandchildren, October Skye Vaughn and Jensen Bradley Rice; and his three siblings, Roger Keith Vaughn of Maysville, Peggy Ann Moore (Dean) of Wallingford, and Patty Shipman of Georgetown, Ohio.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Rusty Draper.
Funeral services for Roy Dale Vaughn, Sr. will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022, with Bro. Bruce Heller officiating.
Burial will be in the May's Lick Cemetery with military rites performed by the Simon Kenton VFW Post 2734.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 a.m., until the hour of the service.
Face mask and social distancing will be required for all in attendance for both events.
