Adele M. Seier, 68, of Northampton, died July 19, 2007, in Hospice of the V.N.A. of St. Lukes, Lower Saucon Township. Addie and her husband, Stephen J. Seier Sr., were married for 49 years in March. Adele was born on January 30, 1939 in Northampton, the daughter of the late Laird L. and Irene (Dech) Young. Adele was a beautician and also worked at the former Laneco, Coplay, as a manager in the jewelry department for 17 years. Previously, she worked at Sears, Roebuck and Company, Whitehall. She was a member of Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church, Northampton. Adele was an avid bowler and a member of the Club House 55 bowling league at the Rose Bowl, Allentown, and the Hampton Lanes bowling league, Northampton. She was a member of AARP Chapter 3115, Whitehall. Adele enjoyed arts and crafts. Survivors: Husband; daughters, Tina M., wife of Mick Faust of Kreidersville, Cynthia A., wife of Kevin D. Hoch of Northampton; son, Stephen J. Seier Jr. and his wife Lori A. of Breinigsville; four grandchildren, Allison I., Kevin P., Megan E., Kaitlan E.; two brothers, Larson Young and companion Carol Hawk of Northampton, Barry Miller and his wife Tina of Kreidersville; two sisters, Nadine Carpenter of Bethlehem, Rita, wife of James Ruzicka of Kreidersville; many nieces and nephews. Adele was predeceased by a brother, Nelson Young. Services: A prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, in Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton. Call 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Contributions: May be made to Hospice of the V.N.A. of St. Lukes, 2455 Black River Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18015 or c/o the funeral home, PA 18067.

Please accept my deepest sympathies. I can still remember the first time I met Adele, she walked into my salon on Hamilton St. with Tina, that was 1985. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Adele was a wonderful person and I will always remember our times together at The Hair Affair and our many conversations.
