Agnes Kern Obituary
Agnes Dorothy Kern, 90, of Allentown, passed away on March 10, surrounded by her family in the Phoebe home. Daughter of the late Emil and Dorothy Fisher, she was married to Edgar W. Kern for 62 years. A graduate of Central Catholic High School and the Allentown Business College, she was also a member of the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Siena and the Womens Alliance. Survivors: She leaves behind husband Edgar, daughters - Lisa of Sagamore Hills, OH and Patty, wife of Alan Gross of Bethlehem, PA, and grandchildren Lauren and Kyle Gross. Agnes was the youngest of 8 children, and is predeceased by brothers Robert, James, Austin and the Rev. Paul Fisher, O.F.M. and by sisters Anne Cornell, Ruth Tighe and Martha Stravino. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, in the Cathedral Church of St. Catherine of Siena, 18th & Turner Sts. Allentown, PA. Calling hours are Saturday, 9:30-10:45 a.m., in the Robert C. Weir Funeral Home, 18th & Turner Sts. Allentown, Interment follows Mass in Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville, PA.
