Andrew G. Blasko
Andrew Glenn Blasko, 78, of West Decatur, and formerly of Rigglesville, died Friday, January 16, 2009, at Mt. Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield. He was born January 14, 1931 in Philipsburg, Pa., son of the late Andrew and Augusta (Rockey) Blasko. He was married February 3, 1955, in Clearfield, to Betty Jane (Godissart) Blasko, who survives at home. He was of the Catholic faith. He was a 1949 graduate of Philipsburg High School and a graduate of Williamsport Technical School. He was a product design supervisor for Asplundh, retiring in 1990. He was a veteran of the Army during the Korean Conflict. Survivors: He is survived by three sons; Robert Blasko and wife Elizabeth A. of Hellertown, Michael Blasko and wife Joanne of Easton, Gerald Blasko of West Decatur, a daughter, Mary Kay Michener and fiancee Russell Geesey of Pipersville; a sister, Genivieve Accardo of Orange, Va., six grandchildren; three great- grandchildren. Predeceased by parents, a brother, John Jerry Blasko, three sisters, Lucille Fredricks, Anna Dixon, and Virginia Sokowski. Services: A military memorial service will be at noon, Saturday, January 24, the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg, conducted by the Moshannon Valley Independent Honor Guard. Burial in Philipsburg Cemetery. Friends will be received 11 a.m. until noon Saturday, January 24, the funeral home.
