Ann S. Setar
Ann S. Setar, 79, of Whitehall, entered into eternal rest on October 11, 2009 in her home. She was the widow of Eugene R. Setar who died January 21, 2001. Born in Nesquehoning, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Anna (Famish) Ridnick. She was a member of St. John Russian Orthodox Church, Nesquehoning. Ann was employed for 19 years as a sewing machine operator in many garment factories in Nesquehoning until retiring. Survivors: Sons, Eugene and his wife, Dana Minnich and David A. and his companion, Louise Rapp, both of Whitehall; brother, Anthony Ridnick and his companion, Dorothy Nahay, of Nesquehoning; sister, Sophie Hayick of Allentown; two grandchildren, E.J. and Stephanie; many nieces, nephews. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Catharine Hollock, Marie Ridnick, Esther Hollock and Helen Stoffey. Services: Panachida, 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2009 in the Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home, 81 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. in St. John Russian Orthodox Church with the Rev. Robert J. Teklinski officiating.
