Anna Confalone Obituary
She was born in Roseto on December 23, 1930, a daughter of the late Carmine and Mary
(Falcone) DiNardo.
She was the devoted wife of Daniel Confalone for 69 years, whom she met in high school. Anna was voted the most beautiful girl in the class of 1948 at Bangor High School.
Anna was a caring wife and mother, an expert seamstress, an exceptional homemaker, and a proud grandmother to her 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She especially loved bringing her family together and preparing traditional Italian meals on Sundays and holidays.
Anna was active in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and regularly patronized the Bangor Public Library. She spent two years as Secretary at CIT and seventeen years as Secretary to the Superintendent of the Bangor School District. Anna took great pride in her secretarial skills.
In addition to her husband Daniel, Anna is survived by daughter Joni, son Dan and wife Sherri, daughter Jeanne Ann and husband Wayne, son David and wife Melissa, and sister Lucy (DiNardo) Pellegrino. She was predeceased by a sister Millie (DiNardo) Ruggiero.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 23, 2023, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Third and Garibaldi Avenues, Roseto. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 - 11 AM on Monday, January 23, 2023, at the church. Entombment will follow at the Queen of Heaven Mausoleum in Roseto. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Bangor, PA. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Anna's memory be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Elevator Fund, 436 S. Second Street, Roseto, PA 18013, or Bangor Public Library, 39 S. Main Street Bangor, PA 18013, or St. Luke's Home Health and Hospice, 801 Ostrum Street, Bethlehem, PA 18015.

Dear Uncle Dan and my cousins,
I always admired Aunt Anna - I thought she was beautiful. However, what really struck me was how serene she was. Soft spoken, and very sure of her place in the world. She always had a kind word, and the most beautiful handwriting! She was so proud of her children and grands and great grands. What a lovely legacy. She will be sorely missed.

Holidays, family reunions, or just catching her when we would visit the park, Aunt Anna always had a smile and a hug. She was filled with such love that it was palpable. Aunt Anna and Uncle Dan are "Great" in the family tree, not just as my grandparents siblings, but as great people. When we would catch up it was as if time stood still. They made us feel like nothing else mattered at that moment but us.
Uncle Dan, Danny, Dave, Joni and Jeanann I am deeply sorry for your loss. May the days come soon when you can celebrate the memories and the grief abates. She will be deeply missed.

To my siblings from another mother ,
