Anna R. Hacker
Anna R. Hacker, 85, of Northampton, formerly of Whitehall, died Monday, September 17 in Sacred Heart Assisted Living surrounded by her loving family. Anna and her husband, the late John Hans Hacker shared 55 years of marriage until his passing on January 7, 2003. Born April 15, 1927 in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late John and Theresa (Sabara) Nemeth. Anna was a member of Queenship of Mary Church and sang on the church choir for many years. Survivors: Sisters, Theresa Yurasits, of Northampton, Rosemarie Grossbauer, of Catasauqua; brothers, John Nemeth and wife Stella, of Northampton, Andrew Nemeth and wife Joanne, of Sun City Arizona, James M. Nemeth and wife Carol A., of Northampton, many nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by her brothers, Felix and Joseph Nemeth. Services: A Burial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 20 at 1 p.m. in the Queenship of Mary Church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton. There will be no calling hours. Memorials may be presented to the church c/o Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton.
