Bennie Finelli Obituary
Bennie Finelli, 84, of Bangor passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday January 15, 2014 at home. Born February 2, 1929 in Bangor, a son of the late Daniel and Grace DeCesare Finelli. He and his beloved wife, former Mary Tanzosh, were married 62 years last June 13. Bennie was a 1948 graduate of Bangor High School and was employed by the Bridge Structural and Ornamental Iron Workers Union Local #36 for 55 years retiring in 1985. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War. He was a devoted husband and loving father and a proud grandfather. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Roseto, and a member of the Martocci-Capobianco American Legion Post 750 of Roseto and the Naples Italian American Club of Naples, FL Survivors: In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by a son, Dr. Daniel Finelli Esq. and his wife Dr. Lorrie Finelli of Ambler. PA; daughter, Grace Marie Finelli of Bangor.; his sister, Rosalie Finelli; and a brother, Stephen Finelli both of Bangor; and two grandchildren, Nicole and Benjamin; and many nieces and nephews. A brother, Dr. Michael Finelli died earlier. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday January 18 at 2 p.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Third and Garibaldi, Roseto. Relatives and Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Fiore Funeral Home, 230 Market Street, Bangor. www.fiorefuneralhome.com. Entombment will be in the Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, Roseto. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be offered in Bennies name to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School, 80 Ridge Street, Bangor, PA 18013.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Uncle Ben. One of the hardest working people I have ever met, but with a very tender heart. I know the family will miss him terribly.
