God knows I miss you more and more with each passing day, it never gets easier. Not a day goes by that you're not on my mind and the memories we shared or what could have been. They say time heals all hearts, well not mine it will forever be shattered. The grief does not subside it worsens the longer your gone. I long to be with you and wish I could change everything. I do try to go on with my life but it's not easier by any means. I long for my soul mate, my everything. someone once said you need to get over it, know the love I had for you and what we shared will not die in vain. This is not something that will ever heal in my heart. I pray we will be together again one day and pick up right where we left off. over the rainbow, under the bridge I will search for you. I will go to the end of the earth to find you, my love. I love you so much it hurts. I will forever be your wife. I LOVE YOU, THEN, NOW, AND 4-EVER.

Dear Howard/Smith family,
I was saddened to hear about Bennie's passing, hearing his name serves as a reminder of the passage of time, and how it has been decades since I have crossed paths with the many people that were so beloved as family. Individuals that played an instrumental role in my childhood. The mention of Bennie's name not only brought back images in my head of the pleasant, lanky, quiet, and easy going boy that was he once was, It also reminded me of an era that was once ours, and how blessed we all were to once have walked in the paths of one another no matter how temporary the season, and how much better each of us are to have been touched by the life of Bennie Howard.
I remember us all as frequent guest in the homes of Aunt Gertie May and Uncle Jim/Jamie Martin, and how there was a time when our lives revolved around Northampton, 7th, Pine, and Ferry Street; it was our world, and of which, your late Grandmother was also always a familiar face not far. It was your Gran, of whom, I also remember with fondness, as she was a dedicated presence never usually far from where her daughter and grand-children called home. I can only imagine the today that your Gran and Bennie are now experiencing, and how she and her Grandson are able to embrace back into the arms of one another, this time as promised,it is forever.
And of course, my story leads back to Bennie, often quiet and always calm in demeanor. Bennie, someone I wish I had known longer after our youth, so I that I could write in more detail, but I do see how much he meant to everyone. I can witness even from afar, how loved, liked, and cherished he was and shall remain. Bennie was a light in life, of which, not even the darkness of death shall dim. So adored was Bennie, that it resonates through everyone I've asked, and it fills in my absence of words. When I ask others of Bennie's character, there is one word that continues to be spoken goodness. Bennie represents the story of a man that that did good works and touched lives. So good was he, that the LORD himself, reached down upon the earth on May 4th and reclaimed that of which HE knew to be true; one of the best of HIS flock.
Welcome home Bennie Howard, Off you are now in your journey to a place of no more pain, nor sorrow, no more heartache, and where all in our past that left us long ago await you at Heaven's doors. In closing now, I leave you with my final description of Bennie that I've taken from Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see GOD. Bennie, enjoy your walk with the LORD
