Brian D. Ormsby

1970 - 2018

48, passed away unexpectedly on July 17, 2018. He was born in Towanda, Pennsylvania on March 20, 1970. Brian was a beloved husband, son, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed. He leaves behind the love of his life, Tiffan Sackett Ormsby, parents Robert and Janet, brother Dave (wife Eve), sister Susan (husband Ken), niece Mya, and nephews Blake and Logan. Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Elizabeth Ormsby, and Ernest and Maude King. Brian graduated from Emmaus High School in 1988 where he was a member of the cross country and track teams. He attended Penn State University and spent much of his professional life in the restaurant industry in Florida, Tennessee, and Oregon. Brian was excited to begin a new career in the field of biomedical engineering technology upon his graduation from Portland Community College in March. A loyal and trusted friend, Brian loved Penn State, Philadelphia sports, and the outdoors. His large physical presence belied his gentle nature. Brian was extremely selfless, giving, and considerate of others. A memorial service will be held at 11am on August 11 at Faith Presbyterian Church, 3002 N. 2nd St, Emmaus, PA, with a light luncheon served afterward. Bright clothing, Penn State or Phillies attire is encouraged. There will be an additional celebration on August 25 as well.
