Brian Rich Obituary

Brian R. Rich, Jr., 32, of Berwyn, formerly of Orwigsburg area, passed away Sunday, September 25th, at his home.

Brian was born in Reading, PA on February 17, 1990, a son of Martha Mills Rich and companion Patrick Farrell, of Kempton, and Brian R. Rich Sr. and wife Valerie of Saucon Valley.

Brian was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School Class of 2008.

Brian was owner, manager, and visionary of Famous Reading Outdoors of Schuylkill and Northumberland Counties, the popular destination for ATV, dirt bike, UTV and mountain bike enthusiasts, and general manager of Lehigh Fuels, Whitehall, PA.

Brian is survived by his fiancee Steven I. Solis of Berwyn.

Also survived by a sister, Eleanor Rich Silvia, wife of Charles I. Silvia, of East Greenwich, RI; a brother, William, fiancee of Lauren Parisi, of Orwigsburg, a niece Clover D. Silvia, 3 step brothers Jack Stoffey, Brennan Farrell and Justin Ridge, and 2 step sisters Lauren Stoffey and Clare Farrell.

Brian was special to many people. He was a loving and generous fiancee, grandson, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, and boss. He had a whip-smart sense of humor and loved making people laugh. He loved haircuts, shoes, football, the outdoors, FRO, adventure, his fiancee, family, friends, co-workers, and his country. He looked forward to his future business plans, his wedding, to becoming a dad, traveling, and to a long, happy, healthy, and laughter-filled life with his loved ones. Brian leaves a cherished and indelible mark on all our lives and we are forever changed by his passing. He would want us to remember him and to live our own lives with love, playfulness, and enthusiasm. No regerts.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, October 4th at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Pottsville, PA.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9 - 11 AM at St. Patricks Church.

Steve and the Rich family has my deepest sympathy. He was a great boss and an even better man. He embodied all the good you could ever imagine finding in a person. Brian will be deeply missed by everyone whose life he touched. He made a mark on this world in the short time he was here. Taken way too soon.

Far too soon gone my friend.
Brian treated me as a friend and colleague, and I still can't believe that he is gone.
Now we pray for the Rich Family and friends who will mourn and go on living without Brian's presence in their lives.
We were affiliated as consultants working together on the FRO Trail Plan, but we think of Brian as a friend who will be sorely missed.
Rest in peace my friend.

This is a shock to hear. Brian was a huge part of the offroad community and the very reason we had a couple great races at Famous Reading. This is very sad. I offer my sincere condolences for your family.

Brian was a wonderful person and his parents can be proud of the man he became. When Brian hired me he told me he wanted me to stay till I was 80 which showed to me how much he valued his employees. It felt more like a father son relationship than a boss employee relationship. Brian you will truly be missed and it will be difficult going forward without you here. I will always think of you fondly. Bruce Edelman
