Marlene

I am truly sorry for your loss. I didn't know your son Brian, but I lost my son 5 years ago and I know the pain you feel. A mothers love for her son is precious and even though he is not here physically, he is in your heart and you will remember him forever. He is at peace now and I know you will see him again. You are in my prayers. GOD bless.

I am here for all of you, I want you to know that. Brian's request of me was to keep you make sure all of you were okay. If there is anything at all I can do, please call on me.

It was an honor to have gotten a chance to know Brian for the short time I did, his letters were inspiring, and I will never forget his strength and courage he had during our phone call only hours before his passing. The "Iron Giant" .... we should all have half his courage....

Marlene, Aunt Nancy, all Red's siblings, Mary.... it's time to start healing now.... find comfort knowing HE IS WHERE HE WANTS TO BE!

God bless..... I wish you all many klondike bars and rootbeers, plenty of cans of spam, and of course, cheesesteak, coleslaw and pepsi. (*wink)

God looked down on your body,

So tired from hanging on,

From a life that was overwhelming you,

And wanted back His son.

So he took away the air you breathe,

And gave you what was best,

A place to be at peace,

A final place to rest.

we love you brian may you rest finally in peace

Aunt Marlene and Family,

Words cannot describe how sorry I am that they took Brian away from us all. The only thing that might ease everyone is knowing he is in a much better place then where he was. He is now looking down on all of us and he can now see us all when ever he wants. I am so sorry I loved Brian like he was my brother and I am hurting so bad because I couldn't be there for him. I didn't even get to say goodbye. If I can do anything please let me know. Brian dosen't want anyone sad he seen enough of that we have to be strong for him and never forget that man that we all knew we can never forget our Brian. Again my heart is with you all and Brian is in my prayers.

Love your neice

Dear Brian,

We love you. We will miss you, Red. Your smile, your lovely poetry, your amusing jokes and your long lengthy letters. Right now, Robert is having a hard time, but he and Mom will make this through together. You will home with your family soon and you can remain in our hearts forever. You will be missed by all and we all will take of Megan for you. She's our niece and we love her with all of our hearts. Robert read your card bro....and I liked the back of the envelope....it made me smile and I will frame it so it will last forever..just like our memories of you. I wished I had met you before all this because I sure I would have probably married you instead of your brother who drives me crazy sometimes...but that is just the Steckel men...they drive their women crazy.

Again, let us say we love. Reba was glad to talk to you again and she loves you too and so does Kat.
