Bridgette Geist Obituary
Bridgette Geist, 37, of Walnutport, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twsp. Born in Allentown. She was the daughter of Richard Sr. and Brenda (Weller) Geist of Alburtis. She was a laborer and melt deck operator at Vitaulic Co. of America for the past 20 years. She was a graduate of Allentown Business School with a degree in medical office management. Survivors: Survived along with parents; sons, Justin, Cory, and Eric; daughters, Brooke and Nichole, all of Walnutport; sisters, Tanya Utsch of Kutztown and Heather Geist of Las Vegas, NV; brother, Richard Geist Jr. of Topton; and a paternal grandmother, Grace Erb of Barto. Services: 7 p.m. Thursday at Church of the Good Shephard U.C.C. 135 Quarry Rd. Alburtis. Calling 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the church. Arrangements: Schmoyer Funeral Home, Breinigsville. www.schmoyerfuneralhome.com Contributions: In lieu of flowers, may be made to her childrens scholarship fund c/o the funeral home P.O. I personally didn't know Bridgette but my husband worked at Victaulic a couple years ago as an assembler. I know that she will be truly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of sorrow. There are really no words that can take away the sorrow or emptiness that she has left behind, but she is in heaven above with the angels now watching over us. Words can't describe what I felt when I heard the news about Gidge. All the memories of those summer days at the pool or dancing around her room to The Electric slide. My family has known Bridgette for many years. She was a devoted Mother, always put her children first and she was the Mother of three of my grandson's Justin, Cory and Eric. I cannot find the words to express this terrible loss that my grandsons' have to endure. They lost their Grandfather a few months ago and now their Mother.
I will always be there for them anytime day or night. Pop and your Mother are now your Guardian Angels and will always keep you safe.

I met Bridgette while we both dropped off and picked up our kids at daycare, and became friendly with her years later, after seeing her at the pool in the summer. I am at a loss for words at the thought that I won't see her up there, and my heart is broken, especially for her kids. Bridgette will be missed hardly comes close to expressing the loss that many people are feeling over this tragic accident. I only had the pleasure of working with her for almost 3 years but the generosity that she showed to me in the work place and in life left a lifelong impression. We spoke many mornings in the locker room about her kids and no matter what the subject she had nothing but love and pride in everything they did. May they never forget that! I never had the chance to meet Bridget in person.I just spoke with her on the telephone when she had called for Brian to invite us to one of her summer get togethers. I am so regretful that i did not get that chance to meet her in person. I will always remember Bridgette for being the hardest working mother I've ever known. I had the pleasure of knowing her for 14 yrs from work. We would always talk about our kids and I know that her kids were her life. She sacrificed everything for them. She would start christmas shopping months ahead of time and work a lot of overtime so she could do her best to make her kids happy. I am deeply saddened by this tragedy and pray for her family to have the strength to get through these hard times.

It's been about 20 years when I lived with the Geists, and I was saddened by the tragic accident that took such a great person.
