C. William "Bill" Liedlich

1926 - 2021

C. William "Bill" Liedlich, 95, of Bethlehem, died Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Kirkland Village, Bethlehem.  He is the husband of Anne F. (Flemer) Liedlich. He was born in Newark, DE on March 7, 1926 to the late C. Raymond and Margaret (Seelye) Liedlich. He served our country faithfully in the Navy on a destroyer during World War II. After graduating from the University of Maryland in 1951, with a degree in Civil Engineering, he joined the Bethlehem Steel Corporation serving in various positions as a Structural Engineer for 31 years and then for Hanover Engineering retiring in 1991. Bill was active in the Boy Scouts of America as an Assistant Scoutmaster, he was a Life Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and served two terms as Treasurer of the Lehigh Valley Section of the ASCE, and was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Bethlehem.    

SURVIVORS: In addition to his wife of 69 years; children: William L. (Andrea) of Allentown, Suzanne L. (Michael) McCormack of Zionsville IN; sister: Pauline L. (Donald) Hudson; grandchildren Joanna, Cara, Ryan, Sarah; great-grandchildren: Charlotte and Liam. Predeceased in death by brothers: Chester S. and Paul N.
