Carole Sarmir Obituary

Sarmir, Carole AnnCarole Ann Sarmir, 76, of Allentown and Port St. Lucie, FL, died October 20, 2014, in her home with her devoted husband, Edward Sarmir by her side. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Emma (Piff) Spaar. She was 1955 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School. After graduation, Carole began a 40 year career at Capital Blue Cross retiring from the human resources department. After retirement she worked in the Office of Temporal Affairs for the Diocese of Allentown for 10 years. She also worked part time at Lehigh Country Club for over 10 years. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Allentown. Survivors: Husband; Sister, Vyonne Spaar of Auburn, ME; Sister-in-laws; Brother-in-laws; Nieces; a Nephew and many close friends. Services: A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield. Call Friday, from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. in the church. BURKHOLDER FUNERAL HOME, Allentown, www.jsburkholder.com Contributions: Memorial contributions may be made in Carole's memory to the Sacred Heart Hospital Foundation, 421 Chew St., Allentown, PA 18102 or the Diocese of Allentown, P.O. Dear Ed, I was so sorry to hear of Carole's passing. I worked with Carole at the Diocese of Allentown. She was truly a lovely and caring person. She always went out of her way to help everyone.
