Caroline R. Stranzl
Caroline R. Lynch Stranzl, 87, of Northampton passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 25, 2014 in Weston Village surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Frank J. Fats Stranzl who died December 1, 1990. Lynch was born September 16, 1926 in Northampton and she was the daughter of the late John and Caroline (Legath) Szerencits. Lynch worked at the Northampton Senior High Cafeteria for many years. She was a member of the Queenship of Mary Church and the Altar & Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Catholic War Veterans post # 454 Ladies Auxiliary and the Young at Heart Senior Group. Survivors: Son, Thomas and his wife Tina, of Bath; daughters, Carol, wife of Christopher Kovalchik, of Schnecksville, Christina, wife of Thomas Bankos, of Whitehall, son, Frank and his partner, Byron, of Alta Dena, CA; grandchildren, Jennifer Stranzl, Justin Stranzl and his wife Alissa, Matthew Bankos, Thor Plummer, Mark Kovalchik and his wife Laura. Lynch was predeceased by her granddaughters, Hannah Bankos and Jessica Stranzl. Services: A Burial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 1 at 10:30 a.m. in Queenship of Mary Church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may call Saturday 8:30 to 10 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Burial will follow in the Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery. Online condolences may be submitted to www.reichelfuneralhome.com. Contributions: Memorials may be presented to The COCO Foundation or Alzheimers Foundation of America c/o funeral home.
