Charles N. Baxevane

Charles N. Baxevane, 79, of Bethlehem, died Dec. 8 in ManorCare Health Services I, Bethlehem. He was married to Demetra (Makaroni) Baxevane for 52 years last March. He was a salesman for Vallos Bakery, Fountain Hill, for 20 years before retiring. Previously, he was a mill worker for Bethlehem Steel Corp. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Nicholas and Evanthia (Mihalakis) Baxevane. He was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Bethlehem. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors: Wife; son, Nicholas C. of Jamison, Bucks County; a granddaughter. He was predeceased by a daughter, Faye C. Mavis. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday in the church.
