To the Dugan Family, we were very sorry to learn of your fathers passing. He was one of the last original
Owners on Benton Street. He would stop and talk with my parents on his nightly walks. He was a kind, and friendly man who lived a long wonderful life. Thinking of you during your time of sorrow.

Dear Uncle Chuck, thank you for decades of gentle, fun encouragement and challenges to so many of us who were blessed to have a family connection. (Including many in-laws from multiple generations.) My family always admired your patience with everyone from my grandmother-how many times were those walls repainted?; to your pogo stick challenges to your 3 older brother-in-laws and all the Ottens nieces and nephews; to your many chats with my Dad after Mom passed; to being a link between our Mom (as a sister-in-law) and my Dad (as sharing a great aunt Cannon); to welcoming my husband with ping pong, tennis, piano and historical information challenges (who else would take a business school professor from Ga Tech on an auto tour of Bethlehem Steel? and also know the Civil War legacy of the namesake for a residential street in Atlanta?); to babysitting and charming a then 4 yr old great niece at Mack pool; always laughing at retold Readers Digest and AARP type jokes for my sister; and a readied smile of determination and strength to show me and my siblings how to always find delight in something new to go forward with while holding on to that inner child.
Yes thank you for your service to this country in WWII, and since then. And imagining those Super Bowl game penny ante bets, and loser pranks starting again soon in heaven. But you were truly one of the socalled greatest generation and a keeper of the keys in the family, and that will be so missed.
Love to Patti, Jay, Gopi, Keshi, Lisa and Ned from Sheila, Chuck P., Katrina and Christopher
