Charles W. Ziegenfuss

Charles W. Ziegenfuss, 85, of Allentown, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Maryjane A. (Flaherty) Ziegenfuss. They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary last September. Charles was born in Allentown a son of the late Charles W. and Gladys (Thomas) Ziegenfuss. He was a salesman for the Pollard Tire Co. and Joe's Battery and Tire for many years. He retired from the PA State Liquor Stores in 2017. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Cathedral Church of St. Catharine of Siena, Allentown. Charles was a diehard Little League Baseball fan attending the Little League World Series in Williamsport almost every year. He and his wife participated in the Tuesday Night Classic Bowling League. Charles was an avid NASCAR Racing Fan. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors: Wife; daughter, Rita Ann and her husband Joseph Brenner on Escondido, CA; son, Edward Ziegenfuss and his companion Wendy Lewers of Lehighton; grandsons, Joseph and Thomas Brenner and Parker Ziegenfuss.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, January 7, 2021, in the Cathedral Church of St. Catharine of Siena 1825 Turner St. Allentown. A viewing will be held from 8:45 – 9:45 A.M. Friday in the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. 274 North Krocks Road, Allentown.
