David Steward Obituary
David J. Steward, 66, of Nazareth, passed away peacefully Friday, July 27, 2012 at his residence. Born April 4, 1946 in Allentown, he was a son of the late Ray and Marie Bower Steward. He was the husband of Lois Dewalt Steward with whom he shared 47 years of marriage. Previously, David was a truck driver for New Penn Motor Express. He also worked for Bethlehem Contracting. His interests were varied and included, model railroading, hunting and target shooting. He also performed volunteer work with Meals on Wheels. He was a member of Forks United Church of Christ, in Forks Township. Additionally, he belonged to the Good Shepherd Spinal Cord Injury Support Group and he was also a proud member of the NRA. Survivors: David will be greatly missed by his loving family, wife, Lois; son, Darin Steward and his partner Jamie Kennedy of Nazareth; two daughters, Deann Allen of Nazareth and Desiree Hoke and her husband Scott of Allentown; a brother, William Steward; and three sisters, Judy DeCarlo and her husband Paul, Sandra Cregger and Loraine Rohn and her husband Richard; four grandchildren, Cody Allen, Abbigail Hoke, Kyle Hoke and Tagan Steward. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by one sister, Carol Ann Hollinger. Services: Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, in Forks United Church of Christ, 4500 Sullivan Trail, Stockertown. Family and friends are invited to call 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday evening in the church and again 10 a.m. Tuesday till time of service in the church. Burial will be held in Forks Cemetery following services. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Schmidt Funeral Home, P.C., 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth. Des, Darin, Deanne, and Lois,
I'm so sorry about your loss. I lost my mom last November to pancreatic cancer. Life will never be the same without her.
