Diane Galdieri Obituary
Diane was born on August 28th, 1946, in Scranton, PA to the late Edward Francis and Margaret Kippicash Vinink. Beloved wife of John (Jack) Galdieri for 54 years and devoted mother of John Galdieri (Cristina), Kristen Bonavilla (Dr. Joseph), and Michael Galdieri (Diana). She is survived by ten Grandchildren: Joseph, Gracie, Edward, Jacqueline, Nicholas, Michael, Diana, Vera, Cora, and Margaret. She was preceded by her brother Edward Joseph Vinink. Diane was a devout Catholic who attended mass at St. Joseph the Worker in Orefield, Pennsylvania, St. Christopher's of Kent Island Catholic Church and St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Bonita Springs, Florida.
In Diane's youth she was a Pennsylvania state champion baton twirler. She maintained her passion for two decades coaching the band front and competitive baton twirling squads, positively influencing hundreds of young women and leading them to multiple championships. Diane was eternally selfless as the consummate mother to her three children and ten grandchildren filling their lives with abundant love.
Jack and Diane were two American kids, high school sweethearts, who lived out Diane's dream life enjoying summers on the Chesapeake Bay and winters in Bonita Springs, Florida. Her perfect day was sitting on her back porch surrounded by family and friends watching the sunset.
Diane lived with such grace and love. She possessed positive energy that was magnetic and a beautiful smile that was contagious. She was the center of her family's universe and all who were in her presence were warmed by the peace and goodness that she radiated. The heavens are blessed with a beautiful new angel, and her spirit will eternally be alive in all of her loved ones.
The family will be hosting a celebration of life in Maryland and Pennsylvania in July.

Dear Jack,
We have a granddaughter who is looking at Lehigh. Her tour of the campus made us think of the old Sigma Chi weekends and our group of high school sweethearts. Upon googling your name, we discovered the sad news about your beautiful Diane. She was indeed an incredible lady. While we will grieve your loss, we pray and believe that you will be sustained by your memories and by the wonderful family you created.

So sorry for your loss. She, Diane, was beautiful, kind and gentle women. As former neighbors in New Tripoli, I remember great conversations as we waited for our children to board on or off the school bus....cooking, raising children, our families in general. Blessings to the family

We are shocked and saddened to hear that Diane has passed away. She was such a part of our lives back when our kids were growing up together in New Tripoli, and we always enjoyed her lovely Christmas photos and family news each year. Our deepest condolences to Jack, John, Kristen, and Michael.

To the Galdieri family - please accept my deepest sympathies in the passing of Diane. She was a beautiful and strong woman who taught myself & so many other young women about grace, confidence & determination. To this day, if I pass a white station wagon with wood paneling, I smile and reminisce. May peace be with each of you in the days ahead.

Diane was an incredibly special woman. We have so very many fun memories of times spent together in the Lehigh Valley and in Annapolis with the USNA Parent's Club. Diane will always be remembered with much love. Our deepest sympathy to her family.
