I was very sorry to learn of Don's passing. Some years ago I had many positive contacts with Don when he was in banking in Bethlehem. My mother, the late Joanna Barsness, also shared the Wily family's deep commitment to the First Presbyterian Church. May God bless you all.

Dear Sally, Debprah and Noel:

Although we all grieve the passing away of Don, a very kind, gentle and humble man; we also share the peace that he now experiences with our Lord and the joy of being reunited with your son Jared. Sally, I will pray that you and your daugthers be endowed with the strength that you need to continue on with your lives in the absence of a powerful figure besides you, that was Don's.

Dear Sally and family -

I was so saddened to hear of Don's passing. He was the kind of man who had a life time effect on a person. He was so strong in his faith and so committed to doing the right things in life. He was so loving and committed to his family. They were his joy!
I am sorry that I cannot attend the services but know that I am with you in prayer and faith.

It has been so long since Don and I worked together but his lessons for life and how to live it are with me forever. Jane Ward

Dear Wily Family,

We have been friends since the 1960's and you have always been so kind. You are all outstanding people and loved by me. May God be with you, and grant you peace in this time of sorrow and joy. No one was kinder or more gentlemanly than your husband/father/grandfather.

Love, Peggy Hartman

Dearest friends,
Whenever we think of Don, the image of his smile comes to mind. I don't remember seeing him without that smile, whatever the circumstances. It seemed to express that inner joy that is the gift of a true Christian. He will live in our hearts as a gentle, loving, courageous, Christian gentleman. And we look forward to the time when we will all be gathered to the Lord to feast at His table.
Know that we hold you in our hearts and in our prayers.
Peace,
Kathy and Bill Nash

Dear Sally,
What a wonderful life you and Don had dispite his illness. Never did either of you waver on your love for each other. I will always remember the years in Center Valley. It was because of you getting pregnant with Jarad that I desired to have more children and Cathy and Jenny were born! Thank you for that inspiration. May you find peace in your heart knowing that you both have served God and this love overflowed onto each other and your wonderful children. Love always, Connie (Yurasits) Ewadinger.........Jim sends his love too. Summerville, SC

Dear Sally, experiencing the death of a husband is so personal that very few of us can understand the grief involved. Perhaps you knowing that others share your sadness will make this difficult time easier to bear. 2Cor 5:8 to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Our sympathy, love and prayers are with you and your family. I will always be grateful to Don for hiring me as director of public relations for Union Bank right out of college. I had little experience, but he took a chance on me and was patient and protective while I learned what needed to be done and how to do it. Were it not for the opportunity and encouragement he gave me, many other opportunities would not have followed. Decades have passed since then, but I wish I'd gotten back in touch with him to tell him that. May the family and friends who miss him find comfort in the good times they shared with Don and in each other.
