Dorothy Achey Obituary
Dorothy E. Dot Achey, 93, of Bethlehem, died Monday, February 25, 2008, in Cedarbrook-Fountain Hill Annex. She was a former resident of Lutheran Manor Apartments for over 20 years. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Catharine (Matizka) Ruhe. Warren, her husband, passed away earlier. She was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ. She was a former member of Rosemont Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school and participated in the choir for many years. Her main enjoyments were ceramics, the Philadelphia Phillies and her family. Survivors: Her loving family, two sons, Richard E. of Allentown, John R. of Kunkletown, a brother, George Ches Ruhe of Pensacola, Fla., a sister, Betty Scheirer of Bethlehem, two grandchildren, Robert Prusak and Felicia Ann Achey, both of Bethlehem, and three great-grandchildren, Collin, Crystal and Alexia. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2008, Snyder-Hinkle & Lunsford Funeral Home, 527 Center St., Bethlehem. Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of services Saturday. Online condolences may be made at www.shlfh.com. Contributions: May be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.

I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of your mother in law. I'm sure Dorothy appreciated everything you did for her and the time you spent with her. You should be proud knowing that you made her final years more enjoyable by taking time out of your busy life to help her live hers as comfortable as possible.
