Dorothy J. Cardene

Dorothy J. Cardene (96) of Whitehall Township passed away on July 15th, 2023 in Stamford Connecticut. She was the widow of the late Richard Cardene, who passed away on September 22nd in 1984. Born in Taylor, PA, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Verna Samsak, and lived in Scranton for 32 years, before moving to Whitehall. Prior to retiring she was employed by the Whitehall School District for thirteen years, and Macy's Personnel office for 12 years. She was a member of St. Peters Church in Coplay, PA. Survivors are daughters Linda Ruderman of Boca Raton, FL and Debra Guerino of PA. Three grandsons, Blake, Evan, and Scott Ruderman and 2 great grandchildren, Hunter and Palmer Ruderman of Greenwich, CT and Boca Raton, FL. Daughters in law, Ashley Ruderman of Boca Raton, FL and Rachael Dyer of Greenwich, CT. She was predeceased by her sister Joan Schirra. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
