Edward D. Applegate

Edward D. Applegate, 58, of Quakertown died April 14 in St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. He was married to Sally A. (Morrell) Applegate for 34 years last May. He was an accountant for Faith Baptist Church, Sellersville, for the past 23 years. Previously, he was a Prudential Insurance Agent in Allentown and a machinist for Ingersoll Rand, Phillipsburg. Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of Roy H. and Anna M. (Voytko) Applegate of Bethlehem. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and its finance team, and head of the Beaver Ministries Youth Group. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was an assistant high school boys soccer coach and a former softball coach for Faith Christian Academy, Sellersville. Survivors: Wife; parents; son, Scott A., and daughter, Elizabeth D., both of Quakertown; brothers, Roy R., Garry L. and David A., all of Bethlehem; four grandchildren.
