Edward Alan Dalrymple
Edward Alan Dalrymple, 58, of Walnutport, died early Wednesday morning, November 13 at the Palmerton Hospital, Palmerton, PA. He was the son of Cline and Jane (Petty) Dalrymple of Newfoundland. Born on September 19, 1955 in Easton, PA, Edward lived in Newfoundland for many years. He was an ace pitcher for the Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns Baseball team during his high school years, pitching several no-hitters. After graduating from high school in 1973, he went on to study physical education at Athens State College, Athens, AL, where he continued to pitch. While at Athens, he was scouted by professional teams. He graduated in 1977. Survivors: In addition to his parents, Edward is survived by brothers, Michael and James, both of Newfoundland, and Steven, Allentown; his nephews, Michael II, Josh and Kyle; nieces, Kelly, Lauren and Tinya; great-nephew, Michael, III; great-niece, Kalilah; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Services: Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 16 at 11 a.m. at the Arthur J. Frey Funeral Home, 201 LaAnna Road, Village of LaAnna, South Sterling, PA. Friends may call on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. A graveside service will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday at South Easton Cemetery, W. Milton Street and Iron Street, Easton.
