Edward R. Fix Jr.

Edward R. Fix Jr., 82, of Catasauqua, was stricken at home and passed away at LV Hospital on 2/1/2021. He enjoyed his work as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service for 40 years before his retirement. He was an active member of Salem UCC Church in Catasauqua. Ed was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather. He was married 63 years to his wife, Darlene (Hoffman) Fix, who cared for him lovingly and selflessly until the end. Ed was a gentle man who touched many lives. He cherished the friendships he made with his longtime neighbors, church family and his friends in Chincoteaque, VA. Surviving along with his wife Darlene are his three daughters: Judith Maurer and husband Marshall, Colleen Costagliola and husband Neal, Lisa Newman and husband Jeff; five grandchildren: Adam, Timothy, Gabriella, Eddie and Cecelia; along with one great-grandchild, Phoenix. Services will be held at Salem UCC Church at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem UCC Church, 615 Third St, Catasauqua, PA 18032.
