Edward Kyle Obituary

Edward Joseph Kyle, 84, of Murrells Inlet, SC, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2021. Ed was predeceased by his wife, Lucy (Bender) in 2011. He was born on November 10, 1936 in Philadelphia, son of the late Robert and Margaret (O'Grady) Kyle. Ed was a salesman for American Greetings Corporation where he earned the Pacesetter Award which is given to those who have achieved significant accomplishments through high performance, motivation, and influence in their career. He was a former member of the Church of the Assumption B.V.M. in Bethlehem, PA. He was a graduate of St. John the Baptist High School and attended Shepherd University. Ed was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Many will remember Ed for his quick wit, sense of humor, love of golf and devotion to his family. He spent most of the last 21 years in South Carolina where he enjoyed golfing, dining and visits from his granddaughters.

Survivors: Ed will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Susan K. Wise, wife of Jeffrey of Blue Bell, PA, granddaughters, Mallory and Lily, his sister, Sr. Mary Frances Kyle, SSJ as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, T. Joseph and Robert V.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at the Church of the Assumption 4101 Old Bethlehem Pike Bethlehem, PA 18015. A private, family burial will follow.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Villa 110 W. Wissahickon Avenue Flourtown, PA 19031.

Ed was the ultimate entertainer; making people laugh when he was around. The truck of his car was a treasure chest of goodies, too.
