Sue, Ashley, and Matt, so sorry to hear about Ed. I learned a lot from him when I worked at Rite Aid, and always respected him, both as a person and as a manager. Wishing you guys the best through this difficult time.

My heart is heavy with sorrow with your passing, as we have never meet. I know you had to be a very good man, as you married my favorite niece, who is as beautiful women as I have known through the years. Your passing will make her sad at this moment, but the memory of you and your love for each other will keep her warm nights with making her smile during her days! You are now with your father, who I knew and I know you will be i good hands. We who are here on this Earth will see your wife Suzanne will be taken care of until that day you two meet for Eternity!! God Bless You and may God give you Peace in Heaven.

Dear Suzanne, Ashley Lyn & Matthew, please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of your husband/father. Know that he is free from pain and is resting in the Lord's hands as he continues to watch over you all. Cherish the memories you made with him and keep them close to your hearts as he will always be near you. The poem below was shared with me when my Dad passed away and it helped me through the difficult time I had dealing with his passing and I hope it brings you some comfort as well. Suzanne, my dear friend, you know I am only a call away if you need me day or night.

Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
That, we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way
which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.

Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.

Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?

I am but waiting for you.
For an interval.
Somewhere. Very near.
Just around the corner.

All is well.

Nothing is past; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before only better, infinitely happier and forever we will all be one together with Christ.

My heart goes out to Ed's family at this very sad news. I remember Ed as always being such a nice person, always with a laugh and a smile. Blessed be those who were graced by Ed's love. Cherish his memories, he will live forever in your hearts. Prayers to his family for God's strength at this time and help you find peace in knowing Ed is now with God. Til you meet again one day.
